The 2024 SelectUSA Investment Summit
The SelectUSA Investment Summit is the highest profile event in the United States to facilitate business investment by connecting thousands of investors, companies, economic development organizations (EDOs), and industry experts to make deals happen.
My role in the coordination and planning of this event is coming up with the branding concept that dictates deliverables for the year, including all print and digital assets, conference signage, social media promotion, and creating everything that gives SelectUSA a fresh, exciting brand look and feel and creates positive impressions throughout the year and the Investment Summit that gets companies to invest and expand in the United States.
The concept of the geometric pattern is what I called “building blocks” which I thought were a nod to bureaucracy in the amount of departments and agencies that go into investing, and the steps of growing business itself. I also thought the pattern was vibrant and energetic, which is something not many people think of when they think of government.
Every year, the branding of the SelectUSA Investment Summit gets a clean slate. This PDF shows what I initially pitched to our client that led them to approve the concept to guide the look and feel for 2024.
I came up with a design to include the 2024 branding, format nicely for all 5,000 participants’ information that were being printed on site, but also fit the matrix of different badges needed to differentiate between different kinds of participants (our Tech program, press, etc.) An additional branding element was creating lanyards with the building blocks on them to match the badges.
